DINING ON A BUDGET WHILE STAYING IN A HOTEL

When dining on a budget while staying in a hotel, it can be tempting to just order room service. This is not the most budget minded way to dine for many reasons. Firstly, it is way overpriced and you also do not get to enjoy some of the local cuisine. One thing that should always come with you is a crock pot, this will save you so much time and money! A crock pot allows you to go to the local grocery store or bring your own food to cook and you are able to leave it for hours while sight seeing. Plus it smells absolutely amazing when you return to your room.

Secondly, another great way to dine on a budget while staying in a hotel is researching where some food trucks or small cafes might be located. You will get to try the local food at a discounted rate and not break your budget. Also, make sure to load up at lunch instead of dinner. Menu items tend to be quite a bit cheaper and come with a lot more food. Bringng your own water/drink can save you some cash too!

If you are wanting to reserve one nice meal on your trip, do research on the restaurant pricing in the area you will be traveling to. Find an eatery within your budget so you aren’t surprised when the bill comes. Be flexible when it comes to weekend vs weekday pricing as well, you might get a deal at certain times of the day. Don’t forget to sign up or use any membership or discount cards you may want or have for hotels and dining. Combining your entertainment with dining can be a little less expensive because you are taking in the local fair while having fun at the same time. Sometimes just an entrance fee is needed to get in to a festival, then while inside you can leisurely try different foods along the way!

Finally, don’t order more than you can eat. Order a smaller portion and then if you are still hungry, go back and order more. While on vacation, we can tend to have eyes bigger than our stomachs! Drink lots of water!! Happy trails! Love light and positive vibes friends!!
