Foil Pack Breakfast Burritos and Sandwiches:

There are 2 options when making these fantastic burritos and sandwiches. You can either make them ahead of time, or you can make them at your campsite or on the side of the road.

Mix together 4 Eggs (for 2 people), (salt/pepper/cayenne pepper to taste if you choose), Shredded Cheese, Red and Green Peppers, Onions, Green Chilis and mushrooms (veggies all diced).

Put all mixed ingredients in a cast iron pan and cook until done. Add to a tortilla with some salsa, and you have breakfast!

If you make them ahead of time, wrap them in foil when finished and keep in your cooler away from melted ice of course and they will be ready to reheat over the campfire or your grill.

Foil Pack Dinner:

For this recipe, many combinations of ingredients will work here. It really just comes down to taste and what you like.

You can choose to separate veggies, potatoes and meat in to different foil packs or you can mix them together for a unique blend of flavors. Make sure to dice food prior to wrapping in foil for more even cooking temp and lower cooking times.

When choosing foods to mix together, keep in mind cook times and maybe add things in accordingly.

For example, your potatoes are going to take longer to cook than anything else. So, start them first and then add to them after a period of time. Another option is, just to make a separate pack all together for them.

Below will be a grocery list of ingredients that are good to foil pack and use on the grill.

Add salt/pepper/cayenne pepper to taste if you choose and don’t forget any condiments you may need for cooking and seasoning after. For example: Wings need wings sauce or barbeque sauce and possibly a dry rub, so making a list before you go is not a bad idea.

Please, do not forget to use cooking spray or oil to coat the inside of your foil so your food doesn’t stick to the bottom. (If you do use oil, be very sparingly and be careful not to poke any holes through the foil, this will cause the fire to shoot up and burn your food!)
