GOURMET CAMPING CHICKEN MARBELLA

Gourmet Camping Chicken Marbella

Gourmet Camping Chicken Marbella is the way to go, when traveling or camping! Although, this recipe does use quite a few ingredients, but it has such a great taste, you won’t realize you are traveling. You will soon realize how easy this gourmet-tasting dish is to make, even when you aren’t in your own kitchen!

The best way to travel with this meal is to prepare everything ahead of time, so that you do not have a ton of ingredients to pack. Also check out this Dutch Oven:https://www.amazon.com/Lodge-Enameled-Classic-Enamel-Island/dp/B000N501BK, a camping essential, as well as a need item for this recipe.

To get the chicken ready, you will want to place 2-4 thighs in a large or gallon zip lock bag with all of the ingredients except brown sugar and olive oil. This will marinate the chicken to perfection by the time you are using it for your meal! Make sure to pack in ice very well to avoid bacteria growth.

Once you get to where you are gong, be sure to have your heat source ready for the Dutch Oven. Firstly, if you are using propane you will not have to wait as long, but may take a little longer to cook. If you are using charcoal, you will be using some on top of the Dutch Oven as well, so keep that in mind.

Next, you will want to add olive oil and brown sugar to the bottom of the Dutch Oven, for this Gourmet Camping Chicken Marbella recipe. Place the chicken thighs on the bottom and brown to a crisp, turning it over at around the 5 minute mark or so. Let it crisp on the other side for just a few minutes and then add the marinade (Ingredients listed below) over the top of the chicken.

Put the lid on the Dutch Oven and place about 10 coals on top. This will ensure the heat is trapped in enough to brown the chicken. Otherwise, the Dutch Oven would not have enough dry heat to be able to cook it in such a way. With charcoal you chicken should be browned and ready in about 30 minutes. When using propane, it should take closer to 45 minutes.

Finally, enjoy your warm, hearty and steamy roadside/camping meal! This meal will be filling and you will probably have leftovers for lunch the next day!
